Dee Smith is a Wyoming native that began painting
over thirty-five years ago. Smith's only artistic
training came from his drafting classes while
studying architecture at Montana State University.
Smith began his professional career as an
architect, but quickly found his niche in
painting Western landscapes and wildlife.
"When the West is gone, hopefully my
paintings will show what it was like near
the end of the Twentieth Century." Smith's
art has been featured in numerous art shows,
as well as in the magazine, Art of the
West. Smith lives in Cody, Wyoming with
his wife and two children.
