Born in Idaho
Falls, Idaho in 1946, Guy comes from a family
of artists with father, brother and sister
all gifted painters. Guy has had no formal
art training and began by painting old cars
and buildings, but around 1977 he "began
moving back in time and fell in love with
the Old West". Living most of his life
near the Tetons and the Rocky Mountains, Guy
has used them often as backdrops for his Indians,
trappers, mountain men and wildlife.
Guy works mostly with opaque watercolor (Gouache).
He gets a striking richness with it that transparent
watercolor doesn't have and a softness not
attainable with acrylic or oil. Guy's work
has been featured in many shows inlcuding
the C.M. Russell Show in Great Falls, Montana,
the Classic American Western Art Show in Beverly
Hills, California and the Boise Art Museum
Show in Idaho. Currently Guy lives with his
family in Ronan, Montana.
