A guide, packer and cowboy, artist John Davis from Meeteetse, Wyoming prefers to paint 'en plein-air' with his favorite medium, oil paint. He has enjoyed drawing and painting all his life. Although mostly self-taught he has attended many workshops and drawing classes to develop style.

John's subject matter pertains to areas around Wyoming. Davis' work reflects his enjoyment of all aspects of this area; deserts, mountains and lush river bottoms.
