Sandy Terry's passion for pottery began in 1968.  She received a B.A. in painting from Massachusetts College of Art and Design and studied with master potter Harry Holl.

Her work is wheel thrown or hand built with slabs, coils and wheel thrown components.  Sandy's signature has always been the surface treatments. "How the clay responds to textures is my primary focus, whether it's from markings, rolling, adding relief design elements or from multiple glaze applications."

Her artwork has been represented in many galleries throughout the United States.  She has been commissioned to create pieces for both museums as well as for private parties.  In addition, Sandy has taught ceramics at both Prescott College and Yavapai College and currently resides in Prescott, Arizona.
